ABOUT US
The Royal Robbins brand was born in Yosemite in 1968, founded by legendary climbers Royal and Liz Robbins. Inspired by a life spent in nature, they created durable, versatile clothing for people who believed (as they did) that nature and adventure are good for the soul.
More than 55 years later, that spirit still guides us. We design functional, high-quality apparel for people who bring a sense of adventure to everything they do, with a continued focus on thoughtful design, lower-impact materials, and respect for the natural world.

About Royal Robbins
Royal Robbins designs versatile apparel for every way you experience the outdoors. Founded in 1968 by climbers Royal and Liz Robbins, the brand was shaped in Yosemite and grounded in clean-climbing ethics, integrity, and a deep respect for the natural world.
From the beginning, we’ve created durable, functional styles designed to last with lower-impact materials and inspired by our Northern California roots. Our goal remains simple: build timeless clothing that supports a life of adventure, while reducing our impact on the places that make it possible.
“We need adventure. It’s in our blood. It will not go away. The mountains will continue to call because they uniquely fulfill our need for communion with nature, as well as hunger for adventure.”
